Haircut

Frank Discussion Of Sexual Topics In Last Paragraphs.

Well I was up early. No surprise there. Then I went back to bed and slept til maybe 7:45. Then I went about doing stuff I had been planning on doing since Wednesday

I started with changing the sheets, taking the old ones off, putting new ones on, laundering the dirty sheets. That job is no big deal. Then came the set of tasks I said I would do Wednesday, shirts, khakis, and neckties to the cleaners, trousers to be hemmed and cuffed, haircut, purchase salmon for tonight, gasoline for the tank.

Mrs Trinh is a sweet Vietnamese lady who runs an alterations shop near the Thrift Shop operated by the Little Sisters Of The Poor. I don’t know how her prices compare with the alteration shop run by the dry cleaners, but I don’t care. I figure she’s gone through enough crap in her life so she has earned and deserves whatever she charges.

“Be ready next Friday.”

“Thank you, Mrs Trinh.”

Over to the laundry for the clothes. When I’m set up to iron again, I will iron my own shirts and khakis, but for now, Puritan Laundry & Dry Cleaners can do them.

Next stop: haircut. I wanted it short. My stylist and I discuss length. She cut the sides short, for that sidewall look. Then cut the top short with scissors, so I would have something to work with. Was nice

BJ’s came next. I just bought salmon for tonight, and some produce, bananas and mushrooms. I bought my gas there, regular unleaded at $2.189/gal.

During this going about, I realized I forgot the videos due back at the library. Once they were returned, I came home for good put the old mattress cover in the wash, took the clean sheets from the dryer, folded them and put them away.

J came home. I took a nap.

Dinner was poached salmon, a chopped tomato, cucumber and hearts of palm salad in Ken’s Steakhouse Greek Salad Dressing. Nice dinner, fairly light because the heat is creeping back in. Fresh fruit for dessert.

Now I am tired. However Bendita Tentacion, the Mexican lingerie store is on YouTube where the women are modeling the World’s Trashiest Lingerie and showing off some sex toys like vibrators, that look cheap too. (Note to self: learn Spanish). But I love these uninhibited women, having a good old time talking dildoes .

Me with haircut. Smiling this time.

#Brassieres #Nuclear War

I am watching Oksana and Julia consult with Russian women on brassieres. Brassieres. It is hard to believe that the United States, over nearly seventy-plus years, has been ready to wipe these people, or their parents or their grandparents, off the face of the Earth. It is also hard to believe that Russian government and its predecessors, was and is equally ready to destroy American brassiere shopping women, their children, their husbands and/or lovers, .

Don’t be so naïve to think that the politicians you support, would not authorize the launches that would destroy the world. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump. They’re all killers, given the chance.

I’m wondering how a President will do in the opinion polling after a thermonuclear conflagration? Will the guy from Gallup or the NBC/Wall Street Journal Poll knock on the door of your fallout shelter, seeking your opinion?

Would this thermonuclear exchange make you more likely, less likely, to vote for the President in the next election? Or will it have no effect, assuming you haven’t died before Election Day?

#MexicanTV

I am watching a fashion show on YouTube. A Mexican fashion show, Bendita Tentacion, featuring lingerie. By the appearance on the screen, it’s trashy lingerie. Insomnia creates opportunities one doesn’t normally have if sleeping is what one does at night. This show has a minuscule production budget. Yet it is strangely endearing. These nice Mexican women are expressing their love of Fashion. Gotta love ’em for doing their thing.

I could watch the Brazilian plus size fashions. They are produced by people wanting to sell a lot of clothes to retailers; hence they spend money on professional models, wearing pricier clothes.

This is the magic that is Youtube. If you can send it up to the Internet, somebody will watch it. While these two women are talking, a television screen shows images that may or may not be related to clothes and fashion.

Time for more coffee, decaffeinated, of course. Maybe I will go back to bed. But, let’s be honest here, sleeping can be boring. Nobody in their right mind would be watching a show in a language they don’t understand just because it’s there to be watched. But I watch it. My older brother, were he alive today, would be watching.

Chalk this up to communing with The Dead,

I will have to put my jammies on again, or not. Maybe I will just sleep in my clothes.

Computers, Fitnes, Style

Figuratively, of course. I came to the realization that that is precisely what I am doing. Call it belated New Year’s Resolve to Do Things Right For A Change, By Golly!

It’s just that goals and purpose in my life got muddled. The new glasses and the haircut shook me out of my complacency. Add to those look-changers shaving my beard off. That action brought the only near-instantaneous Buyer’s Remorse. Then again the beard grows back pretty quickly.

I just started thinking about all that I do reflexively. For example,  I will do something with the computer without fully clearing out old stuff. It’s like the computer needs a cyber-enema.

So today I got some techs to go over the machine to clear out unnecessary programs and updating drivers , all with the intention of optimizing performance. Any of this activity merely reaffirms that I have not the foggiest of ideas of what I have been doing, am doing now, or will do in the future. Anybody else like this?

That completed, and with face and skull in transition, I decided to began my figurative clean out.

1) What’s Important and Must Be Kept: Sobriety, Faith, and Fitness.

A clear head, free of alcohol and drugs fosters honesty for me.

My Faith opens the door to Love. Not sentimental “niceness”, but not harsh judgmentalism either fall within my concept of Love. Lots of acceptance of people as they are comes with my idea of Love. I must point out when my friends are on the road to self-destruction, but understand that I can’t make them who they aren’t. That either makes sense or is just so much psychobabble.

Fitness is taking caring of my body. Exercise means swimming for me. Long restorative swims work my muscles.

Fitness means eating right and eating well. To that end I bought Ghirardelli 100% Cacao Baking Chocolate, and Nielsen-Massey Vanilla. Luckily I know plenty of Chocolate Sluts. There will be some serious chocolate goodies prepared here.

OK, one of the Techie Types will be calling soon about something.

Here is a pic of Beardless Me. I’m beginning to scare myself

Leather

I have a leather belt that I have used for years. It is a go-to in my wardrobe. I wear it with jeans and khakis mostly.

My sudden attention to my appearance prompted me to take a look at The Belt. The buckle might be shined with an application of Brasso© and Elbow Grease. To my pleasant surprise, the buckle shines quite nicely. It is some sort of nickel/steel alloy. Looking at the leather, I see a dry, dull surface, uncared for. I get out the Zymol© Leather Cleaner, work it in and see some dirt come up. I get excited. I find some neutral shoe polish, work that in too, brush and buff it. I am pleased. But there are patches that need color. I use cordovan polish and brush and buff. Looking even better.

Who will notice this attention to detail to The Belt? I will!
