Quite frankly, there are dangerous people and institutions in the world. They are looking to control your life what you see, what you read, what you think. It starts with Google’s surveillance marketing. If you take your smart phone around with you, they know where you are. Stop. These megalomaniacs just say they want to show your product tastes to companies who might have products of interest to you. Maybe. Maybe they know what church you attend, the school your children or grandchildren attend, whether or not you vote and where. At first blush, all seemingly innocuous, if not slightly creepy
But this is about power and egomaniacal people, devoid of any moral compass.
I think you are correct. And what upsets me most about it is that people have become so indoctrinated and socially engineered to obey. People get frustrated with me for not taking my phone everywhere and not using it as frequently as they. People have been conditioned to experience emotional distress when those close to them are not contactable every moment of the day. It quite literally hurts them when I do not carry my tracking device. They have also been trained to enforce the practice of always carrying a device via manipulation. When I express the concern you have raised, people gaslight me and suggest that my noncompliance represents paranoia and that I am psychologically unwell.
I am not mad. I am not paranoid. Not about this. The device is tracking my location. Not liking being tracked is not insane.
Thanks for elaborating on the point. You expressed the concept brilliantly. I can remember when people were out of reach and it was normal. The only people who had 24/7 availability were surgeons and other emergency professionals. Sadly that state of affairs was barely 25 tears ago.
